Cebu City Marathon Running Clinic (Part 3)

The newly-opened RUNNR store and Cebu Executive Runners Club will hold the Cebu City Marathon Running Clinic Part 3 on Dec. 5 (Sat), 2009 at the Active Zone, Ayala Center Cebu.

The speakers are as follows:

1. Coach Jim Saret – to talk about running and training techniques, necessary preparations to take up running as a sport, Tips for different levels or runners: starting out, beginners, advanced, marathoners, etc., how to determine readiness: when to move from 3K to 5K to 10K to 21K and 42K.

2. Coach Julius Giron – to talk about benefits of heart rate monitor, compression wear and forefoot/midfoot running.

Just like the first two clinics, part of 3 will still be for free. The two speakers are Manila-based and brought in by RUNNR.

Hello Crestina!

Nindot sya, butit can be really hot once the sun is out. On the way back from Talisay, the runners will be facing the sun and samagaw pud ang reflection from the sea. =) Dunay part that smells like the Inayawan dumpsite pero maagwanta ra.

Haide! I just stumbled upon your blog now. I'm so glad to finally have a face to match with your name :) Thanks so much for the special mention up there on the sidebar. I'm sure you'll inspire a lot of people to take up the sport or run further. You've already inspired me to cook healthier meals with that pasta post :)

Hope to meet you in person soon. If not in Cebu, then maybe Manila, or even HK :)

Hello Patrick!

Thanks for visiting the blog.

The forms may also be downloaded from the CCM website. Runnr will receive the forms for Manila runners. If you encounter problems with registration please email John Pages of Cebu Executive Runners Club (john@pages.ph). Or maybe I can register for you. Just email your accomplished form to haide_acuna@yahoo.com.

You might want to check the hotels early because they're always fully booked on Sinulog week.

Looking forward to running Condura again.

=)

Hello Jaymie!

Thank you for visiting the blog. I saw you at the La Mesa during QCIM. Chillax lang pero mabilis ka pala talaga tumakbo. Not to mention chica.

I will run HK in 2011 when I'm so much stronger. It was my first marathon and the biggest chip on my shoulder as a runner. I thought-- Hmmm, I think I'll run a marathon. I showed up at HK without any training nor preparation. Nothing.

I was unhurt, but they picked me up at KM 24 because I was too slow. They have six cut-off points along the route including KM 39.2 just 3KM from the finishline.

It was such a stupid mistake. After I came home from my HK misadventure, I read everything I could about running and stumbled upon The Bull Runner and have been a loyal follower since.

When I get to run in Manila, magpa-picture na gyud ko nimo.

=)

Hi Haide,

We (me and my wife) are planning on joining the Cebu marathon. We just need to sort out the logistics. Is Waterfront Lahug walking distance to the starting line of the Marathon? Do you recommend any hotel close to the starting/finish line?

Daghan salamat.
