Marathon Foodie: I've never seen a finisher's medal shaped quite like this one... I really like it. For those who don't know, apart from the beaches, lechon and world-class furniture, Cebu is also known for it's mangoes.

Hello Running Fat Boy!

I read your blog whether or not to run the full in Cebu.

Coach Rio is handling the technical aspect of the race (timing).

Hydration and everything else are being handled by the Cebu Executive Runners Club. The club members will personally oversee hydration on race day. It's so ironic, it's their race but they won't be running in it. =)

They're marathon veterans here and abroad, so I have real faith in these guys, because they know what it feels like not to have adequate support on the road.

Wala ring cut-off time. The roads will be closed from 4AM to 9:30. But even after the roads are opened, runners will be allowed to finish and still with time recording through the chip.

See you on race day. =)

BTW,

Do you have plantar fasciitis? I have that condition too on my right heel.

I find taping it very effective. I learned the taping technique on the net and from bananarunning.

A roll of tape (Mueller) costs P120 at Chris Sports Shop.

Maybe you can practice the tape during the Philstar Run.

=)

Hi Haydee,

Our group joined the marathon and it was our 1st time. It was refreshing and encouraging to see on your way to the finish line with your braided hair. We participated in the 5K run and we'll practice for longer runs in the future. We're not from Cebu but we treat Cebu as our home.

Thanks,

Don Ernest
